The case of a man accused of killing a young Calgary girl and her mother is back in court Thursday.
A date for a preliminary hearing is expected to be set.
Edward Downey is facing first degree murder charges in the deaths of Taliyah Marsman, 5, and her mother, Sara Baillie.

Baillie’s body was found stuffed in a closet in the family’s home back in July, and her daughter’s body was then located in a remote location northwest of Calgary a few days later.
