Bravery honoured by Calgary fire department
Twenty seven real life heroes will be honoured Thursday.
Fire Chief Steve Dongworth is presenting them with a medal of bravery or a certificate of recognition at a ceremony.
The recipients include Anitha Alias who administered CPR to a fellow transit passenger who collapsed in October 2015.

The Fire Department’s recognition program recognizes citizens and emergency services personnel who have helped others in extraordinary situations.
The event starts at 12:30 p.m. at Fort Calgary.
