Safety patrollers honoured with picnic
More than 7,000 Grade five and six school kids get a special treat Thursday.
It’s AMA’s School Safety Patrol Appreciation Day at Heritage Park.
Kids who work as crossing guards all year get to enjoy a free day at the park, including local police serving up a BBQ lunch, games, and park attractions.

It also means you can expect a long line of busses making their way to the park along 14th Street SW Thursday morning.
