Four Calgary police horses helped thwart a grocery store robbery in Calgary’s southeast Thursday night.
According to the CPS, three teens were in the middle of a theft at the business on 17 Avenue S.E. when they were confronted by an employee.
One of the suspects pulled a firearm.
Mounted officers on patrol in the area intercepted the boys fleeing towards a nearby pathway, and Vimy, Ortona, Juno and Maverick galloped into action.
Two of the teens surrendered into custody, and a third was arrested a short distance away.
