A man previously charged with weapons trafficking related to a double murder in Calgary last year is now facing manslaughter charges.
Over the May long weekend, 26-year-old Blais Delaire is accused of providing the gun used to kill 23-year-old Colin Reitberger, and 26-year-old Anees Amr, in a Real Canadian Superstore parking lot in the southeast.
Christian Ouellette, 20, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Police are still looking to identify the driver of a red Dodge Durango, seen dropping off Delaire at a northeast gas station following the murders.
Investigators allege the homicides were linked to a Calgary-based crime ring, involved in cross-border drug trading.
They believe Amr was an unintended target.
