Officials: Spring cleaning could take awhile in Calgary

City of Calgary trucks are finally beginning spring cleaning after weather delayed street sweeping this year.

All the snow kept crews from getting on the roads during the winter and early spring, which means there’s extra material that needs to be cleaned up.

“At this point, we have 30 sweepers that we’ll be putting out seven days a week to pick up material,” roads maintenance manager Bill Biensch explained. “At this time, our projected completion time for spring clean-up will be mid-June.”

If you ignore the signs, you could get a $120 ticket and a tow.
