Five resign amid investigations into the Didsbury Fire Department

Five firefighters have resigned from the Didsbury Fire Department following an investigation.

Over the past few weeks the Town of Didsbury has been reviewing internal concerns as well as complaints expressed by the public.

They hired a third party consultant to look into the issues and on July 4th, the town’s Chief Administrative Officer met with the department.

At this time it’s not known what is in the report due to privacy issues but as of today, five members have sent in their resignations.

As the town now works to rectify any internal problems with the department they are assuring the public that everyone is still safe.

Twenty-five members remain with the Didsbury Fire Department including enough drivers for trucks and larger apparatuses.
