Two rushed to hospital after motorcycle hits deer

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Two people were thrown from a motorcycle early Wednesday after it struck a deer.

The bike was travelling at Woodpark Blvd and Woodpark Road SE after 1 a.m. when the crash happened.

The man driving the motorcycle was rushed to hospital with serious, potentially life-altering injuries, while a female passenger was not as seriously hurt.

The deer died in the collision.

The roadway was closed for a number of hours as police investigated.
