Possible hate-motivated assault in Calgary under investigation

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The Calgary police are looking for the victim of a possible hate-motivated assault.
Around 4:30 p.m. on October 6 on a southbound C-Train, before it arrived at Rundle station, a man started to yell at a south Asian Sikh man “go back to your own country.”
Police say the victim was then hit on the head with a piece of cardboard before both of them exited the train, the man continued to yell racial slurs, as the victim headed toward Sunridge Mall.
The suspect was located, but the victim was not. It is believed the confrontation was unprovoked.
