Council will vote to end Olympic bid

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – It was looked at for over two years with millions of dollars poured into the research but Monday, the Olympic Dream for Calgary 2026 likely comes to an official end.
City Council is expected to pass a motion to end all pursuit and research into hosting the 2026 Winter Games.
It comes after Calgarians voted 56 per cent against bidding for the games with 44 per cent voting ‘yes’ to hosting.
