CALGARY (660NEWS) – A Calgary councillor is accusing his co-workers of bullying as budget deliberations get heated at City Hall.
Ward 11’s Jeromy Farkas claimed councillors walked out on him just before he was going to present his side of things during an in-camera session.
“It’s really important no matter which councillor is bringing it forward that everybody get a fair sounding board,” Farkas said following Tuesday’s council meetings.
Farkas made the claim once councillors were back in regular council chambers, to which other members said he needed to respect them before he would be respected.
Ward 3’s Jyoti Gondek told CityNews there was no “staged walkout”, rather councillors left the in-camera session because it had veered away from the topic that was supposed to be discussed.
