Police confront angry driver at crash scene

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — While Calgary police investigated a serious crash on Monday evening, they also had to deal with an upset driver.

After a car crashed into the front of a KFC restaurant on 17th Avenue SW, injuring a family of three, the angry driver could be heard yelling at police from down the street.

The man was yelling at the officers because the police vehicle blocking the intersection at 16th Avenue and 12th Street was making it difficult for detouring cars to pass through.

He could be heard swearing at the officers and said they were not doing their job.

Eventually, the officers managed to get the man back in his car without incident, and he drove away from the scene but not before swearing at the officers again through his open window.

Video of the incident has generated a lot of response on Twitter, including from two of the Calgary Police Service’s social media officers.
