Teen girl critically injured in Kincora house fire dies

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A 15-year-old girl has died, months after being injured in an explosion and fire at her home in northwest Calgary that police believe was deliberately caused by her father.

According to Calgary police, Dorna Dehdari died in hospital Monday.

Her 22-year-old sister and father were also killed in the fire on Kincora Drive back in May.

No charges will be laid in relation to this incident, and police are not searching for additional suspects.

The man’s wife, who was not home at the time, had recently filed for divorce.

The Dehdari family has released the following statement.

“We are devasted to inform you that Dorna has died as a result of complications due to injuries she sustained from the original events of May 25. We appreciate all of the support we have received from members of the community. We ask for our privacy to be respected at this time.”
