Calgarians asked for input on ridesharing bylaw

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The City of Calgary is reviewing the bylaw concerning ridesharing services and taxis to make sure customers and industry are being served as best as possible.

The city is seeking input on the services on the city’s website until November 17, while stakeholders in the industry will be engaged in person later next month.

The bylaw was first revised in 2016 to allow for services like Uber, and this planned review will examine if any further amendments are needed.

The city says the law sets standards around fares, convenience and safety and they want to hear from Calgarians about how the regulations contribute to their experience.
