OTTAWA (660 NEWS) — Thanks to an impressive run in 2019, Cavalry FC earned a bye to the quarterfinal round of next year’s Canadian Championship.
In July 2020, Cavalry will face the winner of Forge FC and Valour FC in a two-leg round.
The Cavs turned heads this past summer, making it to the semi-final of the annual competition. The team’s journey included victories over York9 FC, Forge and the upset of Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place.
Cavalry’s run ended at the hands of the eventual Canadian Championship victors, the Montreal Impact.
