Impaired driving believed to be the cause of crashes on Stoney Trail: CPS

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Police dealt with a dangerous driving incident on Stoney Trail late Saturday night.
Just before 10 p.m., calls came in to Calgary police of a vehicle driving with no headlights on.
The HAWCS helicopter was sent out to monitor the driver.
During the incident, police say the driver of the vehicle ran at least 3 cars off the road and forced them into the ditch.
Two adults and one child were transported to hospital as a precaution, but no injuries were reported.
46-year-old Guolaing Situ has been charged with seven counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, seven counts of assault with a weapon and one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle.
Impaired driving charges are pending following toxicology results.
