Police investigating death in Fish Creek Park

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary Police are investigating after body was found in Fish Creek Park.
Police arrived to an area near the Bow Valley Ranche Restaraunt around 7:30 a.m. Sunday for reports of a body being found.
Police found the body had been engulfed in flames.

The homicide and arson units are investigating the death.
Few details are known right now about the death and the victim as the investigation is in its early stages.
However, police say they’re working to find out whether the death was criminal in nature, or if the person died by suicide.

An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the cause of death and the identity of the victim.
On Jan. 7, Calgary police ruled the death a suicide. No additional information was provided.
