CALGARY (660 NEWS) — In a trend that has taken over social media over the past few days in cities like Vancouver and Toronto, people have been giving their applause to health care workers.
Now, the provincial NDP has put a call out for Albertans to rise up and be heard from those working the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a post to social media, Opposition Leader Rachel Notley is asking for people to join in at 7 p.m., to thank Alberta’s frontline workers.
She says you can show them some love by clapping and cheering from porches, balconies, windows or anywhere you can.
On Twitter, even emergency crews showed their appreciation to health-care workers.
