CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The 2020 celebration may be cancelled but the spirit of the Calgary Stampede will live on this summer.
The Stampede will be hosting a variety of events at Stampede Park, giving Calgarians the chance to put on their hats and support local businesses.
Some Stampede favourites will also be available in new and different ways.
“It’s hard to imagine a July in Calgary without a Stampede pancake breakfast, mini doughnuts and other midway treats,” said Dana Peers, President & Chairman of the Calgary Stampede Board.
“I’m extremely excited to share that enjoying all three of those Stampede staples will be possible this July and we also have a few more surprises in store.”
The @calgarystampede is doing something different! Get your mini-donuts July 6,7,9,10&11 (noon-9pm).

With the current restrictions on public gatherings, 10 days of grab-and-go food events will take place in July offering Stampede treats in a safe and controlled environment.
There will be the Mini Donut Drive-thru July 6-7 and July 9-11 from noon to 9 p.m.; The BMO Kids Day Pancake Breakfast on July 8; and the Stampede Food Truck Rally July 3-12.
We may not be able celebrate in traditional ways this year, but thanks to our 2020 partners, we’ll be bringing you some Stampede experiences in a new way, following the safety recommendations from Alberta Health Services.

“Without the support of our Stampede partners, this wouldn’t be possible. We’d like to thank them and our community for keeping the Stampede Spirit shining in 2020,” said Peers.
“We hope there’s a little taste of Stampede for everyone this year, until we can gather together again in 2021!”
