Man dies in ATV collision in central Alberta, alcohol a possible factor

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE, Alta. – A 27-year-old man is dead, and three others were injured in a collision between two all-terrain vehicles in central Alberta early Saturday morning.

The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. on Highway 752 near Rocky Mountain House. RCMP believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.

The driver of the first ATV was pronounced dead on the scene. Police have not released the identity of the victim. 

The driver of the second ATV, a 42-year-old man, was flown to a Calgary hospital. The other two riders, both 28-year-old men, suffered minor injuries.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
