CALGARY (660 NEWS) – To keep in lock-step with the city’s new mandatory mask bylaw, the University of Calgary is implementing rules and guidelines for everyone on campus after Aug 1.
School officials said masks will be required in places such as food courts, washrooms, meeting areas and elevators.
Students will have to wear a mask when they enter a classroom but can remove it once they sit down, so long as they keep two metres distance between themselves and everyone else.

The university said it will be providing two complementary, re-usable masks prior to the start of the fall term.
Last week, Mount Royal University announced anyone coming to the campus must wear a mask or face covering in all indoor public spaces effective immediately.
Masks are also mandatory inside all buildings at SAIT.
