Mac’s Tournament cancelled due to COVID-19

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The 2020/21 Mac’s AAA Hockey Tournament has been cancelled this year because of COVID-19.
In a release, organizers say “the social responsibility in regards to the safety of the participants, volunteers, spectators and facility staff is one of the prime factors for this decision”
Organizers add there were challenges for international and Canadian teams to participate along with finding hotels and maintaining the current guidelines for COVID-19 could not be met this year.
Mac’s Tournament chairman, Larry Herbison says they appreciate all the support of all their partnerships and they look forward to an even better tournament next year.
