CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A COVID-19 testing centre in southeast Calgary saw some major delays recently but Alberta Health Services (AHS) said the issue has been resolved.
On Wednesday afternoon, Calgary police told people to avoid the area on Bannister Road, between 146 and 149 Ave. SE due to a long line of traffic outside the newly-opened Macleod Trail testing centre.
In an email sent to 660 NEWS, AHS said they had a temporary staffing shortage with traffic control crews but those issues have since been fixed.
Overall, staff completed almost 1,300 tests at the centre on Wednesday.
AHS added there are seven locations in and around Calgary for anyone to book a COVID-19 test.
