One man killed in crash on Highway 22X near Strathmore

STRATHMORE (660 NEWS) – One man has been killed in a crash between a car and a semi on Highway 22X near Strathmore Wednesday morning.

Investigators said that the semi-truck and trailer was heading westbound and the car was eastbound on the highway when the collision occurred.

The 21-year-old man driving the car died on scene. Two people in the semi sustained minor injuries and were treated by paramedics.

Police said the highway is open again after it was closed for several hours near Highway 797.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated but police do not believe alcohol and drugs were factors
