Assault charges pending in Chinook mall fight, airsoft gun confiscated

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – There was another incident at Chinook mall this week, this time related to a physical altercation.
Police say they received a call around 5:50 p.m. Friday evening about a fight going on at the Calgary mall.
When officers arrived on the scene, mall security guards had already confiscated a weapon, which turned out to be an airsoft gun.
Calgary police say that assault charges are pending in relation to the incident. An investigation is ongoing.

Chinook mall has been a hotspot for altercations in the past few months.
There were multiple fights and crowds broken up during Black Friday.
And just last month, the mall saw protesters gather for an anti-mask rally.
