Man arrested is identified and officially charged in northeast homicide

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Calgary police have charged a man in the death of a woman on Tuesday in the city’s northeast.
Vladimir Ngbangbo Soki, 29, of Calgary, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Police confirmed Thursday the death of a woman at the Airport Traveller’s Inn on Tuesday was a murder.
The woman was identified as Sharilyn Shelley Ann Gagnon, 33, who police believe was killed the same day she was found.

Soki also faces aggravated assault charges in relation to a serious assault on a man who remains in hospital with serious, life-altering injuries.
Homicide Unit Staff Sgt. Martin Schiavetta said on Friday the homicide was a targeted attack and domestic in nature.
It’s Calgary’s 2nd homicide of the year.
