Alberta reaches 75% of eligible population partially vaccinated

CALGARY — Seventy-five per cent of Albertans 12 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The province hitting that milestone on Thursday after 3,195 first-doses were administered over the last day.
As of Thursday afternoon, 61.3 per cent of the eligible population are now fully vaccinated.
To date, nearly 5.13 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Alberta.
On Thursday, Alberta identified 106 new cases of COVID-19 on more than 6,600 tests.
The 106 cases are the highest daily total in Alberta since June 19.
Hospitalizations saw a slight decrease, with 93 people now in hospital, and 26 in the ICU.
Two additional deaths were reported on Thursday afternoon.
There are now 676 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
