Five hundred pound church bell stolen from Camrose church

CAMROSE (CityNews) – Camrose RCMP is investigating after a church bell was stolen from the Ukrainian Catholic Church.

RCMP say sometime between July 19 and 24, the bell which weighs roughly 500 lbs and has an engraving with the lettering “shawaga” was removed from the church in the community of Hays Lake.

If anyone knows anything about the missing bell contact RCMP at (780) 672-3342 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
