One dead, three injured in serious crash east of Calgary
CALGARY — One person has been killed and three others injured after a serious crash east of Calgary.
The collision happened along Highway 22X, near Indus, shortly after 4 p.m. Monday afternoon.
RCMP say an early investigation shows a three-quarter tonne truck was driving westbound on the highway and attempted to pass two semi-trucks when it hit a truck travelling eastbound.

The 46-year-old man who was driving the eastbound truck was killed in the crash, while two passengers were transported to hospital, one of which was airlifted.
The driver of the westbound truck, a 37-year-old man from Calgary, was taken to hospital by ground ambulance with non life-threatening injuries.
RCMP are continuing to investigate the collision.
