Calgary Flames’ training camp will open with 100% vaccination rate

CALGARY – The Calgary Flames’ training camp begins next Wednesday and according to Sportsnet reporter Eric Francis, it will open 100 per cent vaccinated.
Sportsnet says the protocols for the upcoming NHL season will see teams suspend unvaccinated players who are unable to participate in club activities and they will not be paid.

Staff, including coaches, must also be fully vaccinated.
On Monday, the Columbus Blue Jackets replaced Assistant Coach Sylvain Lefebvre over his COVID-19 vaccination refusal.
The Flames kick off the season on the road with the Battle of Alberta Saturday, Oct. 16.
