Man killed after being electrocuted at Southcentre Mall

CALGARY — One man is dead after he was electrocuted at Southcentre Mall on Wednesday.

EMS say they were called out to the mall around 12:30 p.m. after they received reports of an electrocution.

“They determined that person deceased, and there was no transport to hospital,” said EMS spokesperson Adam Loria.

Loria says the man who died was not a patron at the mall, though he couldn’t say if they were a worker or not.

He adds the incident happened within the mall.
