Smoke blanketing Calgary causing air quality issues

By 660 NEWS STAFF

CALGARY (660NEWS) — You can smell it in the air.

A haze is covering parts of Calgary.

Wildfire smoke is returning to the city on Wednesday.

It’s believed to be from fires burning in northern U.S. States such as Idaho and Montana.

Environment Canada’s Air Quality Health Index is currently at 5, a moderate risk.

Those with heart and lung conditions as well as asthma or other health conditions may want to limit physical activity outdoors, especially if they’re experiencing symptoms such as coughing or throat irritation.
