Edmonton woman charged with threatening politicians, public health officials

An Edmonton woman has been charged with sending threatening emails to members of the Alberta Legislative Assembly and employees of the Public Health Agency of Canada.
The RCMP said Friday that an investigation was launched into messages sent between November of 2020 and October of 2021.
Mounties say they examined hundreds of emails sent to more than 50 recipients and found “a number that were threatening in nature.”
No details were provided about the content of the emails.
41-year-old Maria Galbova is facing eight charges; three counts of uttering threats, three counts of harassing communications, and two counts of intimidation of a justice participant.
She is next due in court on May 9.
