Alberta RCMP arrest man and seize 3D printed weapons

Alberta RCMP have released details from an investigation last month which led to the seizure of “do it yourself’ style firearms.
In February, Vancouver border agents seized a prohibited component for a firearm that had been shipped from China
The finding and subsequent seizure of the part led police to investigate a home in Parkland County, where they found multiple 3D-printed guns.
During the search, police also found numerous partially completed 3D printed guns and magazines, ammunition, and counterfeit money

A 25-year-old man from Stony Plain has been charged in relation to the investigation.
Police say they have seen a trend in the increased use of 3D printers to make gun parts.
