Water Quality Alert issued for Town of Three Hills

A Water Quality Alert is in effect for the Town of Three Hills after a water main break has left tap water unsafe for drinking.

A boil water advisory is in effect once the water service is available.

According to the Alberta Emergency Alert website, it instructs residents not to consume water directly from the faucet, and to bring water to a rapid boil for one minute before drinking.

It also advises to only drink bottled water if possible and seek medical attention if necessary.

The Town of Three Hills website says the Town Office will be available to fill up water containers until 11 p.m.
