The town of High River is now under a high streamflow advisory from the province, downgraded from a flood warning that was issued on Monday.
The announcement eases some concerns for the area which was one of the hardest hit during the floods of 2013.
Town officials were advised by the government’s River Forecast Centre late Monday afternoon that the rain is expected to increase levels along the Highwood River.
