Nearly eight years to the day since the murder of 18-year-old Colton Crowshoe, police and the young man’s family are pleading for more information.
Investigators believe Crowshoe was killed shortly after leaving a party in Abbeydale on July 4, 2014.
Homicide Unit Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson said that was when Crowshoe was last seen alive.
His body was found in a storm retention pond near Stoney Trail almost three weeks later after he was reported missing.
Crowshoe’s aunt Nicole Johnston says someone out there knows something.
“If you call Colton your brother – like I heard many of them say, Colton, my bro. If you called him brother, step forward and help him, help Colton get the justice that he deserves,” said Johnston.
Police say anyone who was at the house party in Abbeydale that night is being asked to come forward.

Investigators say even the smallest piece of information could help solve the case.
“These cases never go cold and we never stop investigating them. We’ve had 8 years that have passed, now people have matured, grown and maybe they were intimidated or afraid to come forward in the past,” said Gregson.
Crowshoe’s father, Jimmy Crowshoe, says his son’s death still haunts him and hopes one day they will get some kind of justice.
“Hopefully that one day, if in 8 years, somebody will kind of stand up and tell the truth. If somebody knows the truth they want to at least say something,” said Crowshoe.
Police add they still haven’t spoken to everyone that was at the house party that night and would encourage them to come forward.
