Some Calgary public outdoor pools, spray parks open for the summer

Excited to beat the heat this summer?

The City of Calgary took to Twitter to announce some spray parks and splash pads are now open.

Spray parks, wading pools, and outdoor pools are typically open from mid-June until the fall.

Wading pools will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The ones open for the season include Prairies Winds Park and Riley Park.

Aquatic wheelchairs are also now available at some spray parks. They have to be signed out through the attendant on-site at the park. No deposit is required for the use of the wheelchair and visitors are allowed to use it for as long as they need.

The ones closed for the season include Bowness park and Eau Claire Plaza/Barclay Mall.
