Calgary police are looking for four people who have been charged with robbery.
Officers say the charges relate to an incident in downtown Calgary on Thanksgiving Monday.
A man went to the Harry Hays Building just before 9 a.m. to try and get his passport renewed before realizing the office was closed.
As he left, he headed along Dermot Baldwin Way SE. Police say it was there that he was assaulted by five men who tried to steal his backpack.
The man was hurt and taken to hospital in stable condition after the incident.
Police have one suspect in custody and expect to lay robbery charges against them. However, four people wanted in connection with the assault are still at large.
