People asked to avoid Highway 2 between Leduc and Airdrie over the weekend, RCMP

Alberta RCMP asked people to avoid driving along Highway 2 between Leduc and Airdrie over the weekend, due to poor driving conditions.

Officers say there were multiple collisions on Highway 2 near Olds and Ponoka, and a number of cars ended up in the ditch.

Northbound Highway 2 near Meniak Road was closed for hours Saturday and traffic was redirected to Highway 2A at the time.
