A Calgary woman has been charged in relation to an alleged assault with a hatchet at the Marlborough CTrain station Monday.
Police say it happened around 6:45 p.m. at the CTrain station.
When they arrived, officers say a woman in her 20s was suffering from serious head injuries. They say EMS transported her to hospital.
Police say they found the suspect, a woman, had returned to the same station at around 8:30 p.m. after reports from Calgary Transit.
The suspect gave chase, and officers say they pursued her and made an arrest inside the Tim Hortons on 36 Street NE.

The woman, 22-year-old Shania Eileen Hunter has been charged with one count each of assault with a weapon, and possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The suspect will appear in court on Dec. 1.
