A Calgary man has been arrested in connection with a drug bust in the city’s southwest this week.
Police say they first started receiving information in September about suspected trafficking in the South Glenmore area, adding it was creating a “dangerous situation” for those living and working nearby.
Officers searched a home along Southland Drive SW, near Southland Leisure Centre on Monday.
There, CPS says officers seized around $17,980 worth of drugs, which includes over 100 grams of cocaine, 32 grams of crack cocaine, and 20 grams of fentanyl. Investigators say they also found 300 pills of fentanyl, 21 pills of Trazadone, a buffing agent, and $1,360 in cash.
Calgary police have since charged 21-year-old Brodie Caleb Stewart with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
