According to police, the driver of the car was declared dead on the scene, while the driver of the 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck suffered minor injuries.
Officers say alcohol and speed were the main factors leading to the collision.

Police have also identified the victim, but the details will be released at a later point when a connection is made with the next of kin.
“Today’s collision shows the risk of making the wrong decisions,” says Collision Reconstruction Unit Sgt. Colin Foster in a statement. “In this case, it was the decisions to drink and drive and travel the wrong way on a roadway, which sadly resulted in the death of another motorist. The message is clear: do not drink and drive.”
