The Circle K Classic got underway Tuesday in Calgary, with multiple teams competing for the top prize in the under-18 tournament.
What was once the Mac’s U18AAA tournament, the newly renamed tournament is hosting triple-A hockey teams from across Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
“This edition of the tournament brings a renewed level of excitement with the return to the traditional Christmas timing, increased participation from international teams, and the top competition from around Canada. We cannot wait to drop the puck,” said Jesse Hale, the tournament’s general manager in November.
