Calgary Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a man in a Christmas Day murder in Forest Lawn.

Police say they were called to a home in the area of 36 Street SE and 26 Avenue SE around 4:30 a.m. for reports of shots fired.

An autopsy later revealed 24-year-old Samuel Welday Haile was Calgary’s 26th homicide of 2022.

Calgary police said on Wednesday, 21-year-old Seam Ghebremskel has been charged with accessory to murder after the fact.
