HBO announces season 2 of ‘The Last of Us’

Could Pedro Pascal and company be heading back to Alberta?

HBO confirmed it has picked up ‘The Last of Us’ for a second season.

The first season of the series, which is based on the best-selling, critically-acclaimed PlayStation videogame of the same name, is the most expensive film or television production shot in Canada.

The first episode had the second-highest ratings of any HBO debut in the past decade, behind only House of the Dragon.

Among the Alberta locations featured in the show were the Alberta legislature, Rice Howard Way, the Calgary Airport tunnel, and Canmore.
