The City of Calgary announced its crews are preparing for a snowstorm starting Sunday night.
According to Environment Canada, snow flurries are expected to begin at night and become heavy snow by early Monday.
Before, during and after snowfall our crews are working to respond. With snow in the forecast, ensure you are prepared before heading out on your trip, and leave plenty of time to get to where you need to go safely. More info at https://t.co/eE0ljPokh1 #yycsnow pic.twitter.com/iS4aC1XOH0

Meanwhile, the city is monitoring its major roads, preparing its equipment, and applying anti-icing materials to ensure road safety.
The city also reminds people to take precautions when hitting the roads, as snow and lower temperatures add an extra risk.
People can prepare by giving themselves extra time to get to to their destinations if they are driving, walking, taking public transit, or even biking.
