Police lay charges in pair of 2022 shootings

Charges have been laid in a pair of shootings last year in our city.

30-year-old Kai Errol Horst Keller of Calgary has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Ashley Mawdsley in Douglasdale in December.

Police are working to identify other suspects in that case.

Keller also facing charges including attempted murder along with 28-year-old Anthony Silva of Calgary in a shooting in the Superstore parkade in East Village last August.

Both are believed to be linked to organized crime.

Keller will appear in court on Friday, March 3.

Silva has a court appearance on Monday, March 6.
