1 dead in Highway 2-A crash near High River

One person is dead in a crash that happened Friday morning south of Calgary on Highway 2-A.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene of the crash between a car and a semi-truck in the morning.

EMS spokesperson Stuart Brideau says three people were involved, with two men in the car, and a lone driver in the semi.

The man who was in the car was declared dead by emergency crews, while the other man was flown to hospital in life-threatening condition.

STARS Helicopter was called in, but Brideau says it took a while due foggy conditions.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.

Meanwhile, High River RCMP is on the scene.
