School west of Calgary heavily damaged as vehicle drives through halls

Mounties west of Calgary say someone drove a car through a school, doing $150,000 worth of damage.

Cochrane RCMP says a blue Hyundai Elantra was driven through the east side entrance of Morley Community School just before 7 a.m. on April 12.

Security camera footage shows the man driving down hallways, and photos released by police show extensive damage throughout.



A man has been arrested, but police haven’t indicated why he drove a car through the hallways of the school.

No word yet on any charges.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call RCMP at 780-851-8000 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
